Looking for Procrastination Help?

Do you avoid doing your work? do you put aside tasks that you have to do now for later? do you tend to look for excuses not to get things done? If your answer to any of those questions is yes, you have a procrastination problem and you need help to overcome it.

Its important for you to know why do you procrastinate? maybe is something temporary and you are going through a hard time, but if you are avoiding things always then you have a severe procrastination problem.

It usually is a psychological problem that you need to learn to control, however there are many things that you can do to improve your focus, concentration and accomplish your tasks quickly and easily with the help of a few points.

Get organized, you might have or want to do hundreds of things but you just have so much time, so you have to prioritize what is really most important to do. So your first task is to write down the tasks that you have to get done tomorrow and arrange them in order of priority.

Now that you have your list of priorities make a schedule of how much time you are going to dedicate tomorrow to the most important tasks. The less important tasks might not be necessary to get done tomorrow, you might think that this is procrastinating, but no, you are just going to use your time more effectively by just doing your most important work and not avoiding it.

You can schedule the less important tasks to get done in your time of rest or when you get home at night or at the weekend. Just dont let less important tasks interfere with your priorities.

Now, if you tend to procrastinate and you find difficult to focus and concentrate for large periods of time, set 15 minute goals. For example, set your clock and focus on a task for 15 minutes without stopping then take a 3 to 5 minute rest and continue for another 15 minutes on your task or next task. After an hour of work track how much you have accomplished and write it down.

Using this technique will help you prevent procrastination, but you just have to do it, no matter what, when you begin, it doesent matter how good or bad you are doing it, just continue until you are finished, then you can go back and correct any mistakes.
